Visiting the website

Netlify, Inc., USA, hosts and delivers this website. To serve pages and protect the service, it processes technical request data such as your IP address, the requested URL, the date and time of the request, browser information and, where supplied by your browser, the referring page. These data may be recorded in technical and security logs.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in delivering a reliable and secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Technical data are processed for delivery, operation and security; retention depends on the hosting provider’s operational and security requirements. We do not use these data to build advertising profiles.

The site’s fonts, portfolio images and videos are served with the website. We do not embed social media widgets or third-party video players.

Cookies and tracking

The website application does not set cookies or use local storage for tracking. We do not use advertising trackers or visitor analytics scripts.

Navigation and interactive portfolio controls run in your browser. The Copy email button writes the displayed email address to your clipboard when you choose to use it; it does not read your clipboard or send its contents to us.

Contacting us

When you email us, we process your email address, any name you provide, the message and attachments to answer your enquiry and, where relevant, discuss or carry out a project. Our business email is handled through Google Workspace.

For enquiries related to a contract or steps before entering one, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is our legitimate interest in answering correspondence (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Providing your information is voluntary, but we need a way to reply if you want an answer.

We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle the enquiry or project. Applicable legal retention obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims may require longer storage. We delete information when these purposes and obligations no longer apply.

Providers and transfers

Our hosting and email providers process data needed to supply their services. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States.

The providers’ data processing terms describe safeguards for international transfers, including the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable. Further information and copies of the relevant terms are available below; you can also contact us with questions about safeguards.

Right to object

Where processing is based on legitimate interests under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then stop that processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed for legal claims.

We do not use your data for direct marketing through this website. There is no automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

Complaints and updates

You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular where you live, work or believe an infringement occurred (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority in Berlin is the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
